You may like to view images of my home city from some other Photographers. My love for Brighton is not something that will ever leave me, but it is wonderful to see how others capture it.

It has occurred to me that I have liven in Brighton for six years now. When I first came her I was not yet back into ‘photo mode’, so the earliest images come from December 2007. It is fascinating to look back now on what has gone by in those six years and how the photos in my collection reflect moods, loves, tragedies and joys. But, the overriding theme is always Brighton itself. It is truly my inspiration, my home and my passion. This City has been the backdrop to my the most turbulent period of my life so far and it remains the ‘constant’ in a life that has changed so much.
Four images from the early days ..
It is nearly Christmas and you may be lost what gift to buy that special person. How about a Print that suits their personality, or personal taste? All prices have been reduced until January and the quality of the prints (framed and unframed) is guaranteed to be extremely high.
Enjoy browsing all of the public galleries.
Enjoy taking a little while viewing the wonderful images from the excellent Toby Mason.

And when you are suitably impressed you can vote for him to win the Deloitte UK WildHearts Photo Competition

I know I am not unique in processing this way, but I still love doing it. So it is against the ‘trend’ of posting ‘as shot’ images. To be honest, I don’t care as the silhouette has often more in it than the original from which it was processed.
With no excuses I now realise I have been taking photos in and around the great City of Brighton for over 6 years. So much has happened whilst I have been here, good and bad. It is still my home and I hope it will be for the rest of my days. I love this place, the people who live in it and those that come to visit. I know I never do it total justice, but I will keep on trying as I owe it and its population so very much.
My set on Flickr ‘The Whole Brighton Lot’ has reached over 500 now and there are many more.
I will never get tired of photographing the place and the people. It is where I live, work, relax and stress.

Copies of this wonderful collection of photographs taken in Brighton by local Photographers (yes I am in it) are still available from http://brightonphotography.com/the-brighton-book.htm. It was my prime present to my family and friends last year and remains a constant companion in my office and a never ending source of inspiration.
Just a few of the many images I have taken of the West Pier.
Its history is a fascinating one http://www.arthurlloyd.co.uk/Brighton/WestPier.htm
